Cullen Primary School

Cullen Primary School is located in Cullen on the Moray Firth Coast. The school consists of the main school building, built in 1970, in Old Church Road for classes P1-7 and very close to this building, the Nursery Class meets in a separate building. The roll of the school is currently around 128 primary pupils and the nursery class takes a maximum of 20 Nursery places.

The school is set within the outskirts of Cullen and enjoys the open space of a large playing field area. The children enter the school via the side entrances leading into the two cloakroom areas, but the main entrance is to be found at the front of the school. The main parking area is also situated at the front of the school.

A school crossing patrol officer is stationed at the Community Centre/Judy’s Lane to help children as they cross the main road.

Over time, we hope that the schoolchildren at Cullen Primary School will be actively involved in designing and maintaining the content of this page - keeping you up-to-date with their activities and forthcoming events at the school. Watch out for more information to come!

** Children Win Reading Competition **

A team of four pupils from Cullen Primary School are celebrating after winning the grand final of the Get Moray Reading inter-school book quiz at Elgin library (26th May 2011).

44 teams from 28 primary schools across Moray entered the annual event, with the area winners - Applegrove, Bishopmill, Cullen, Knockando and St Gerardine's - competing in the final for the inter-school book quiz shield.

Teams displayed an extensive knowledge of books, with Cullen coming out on top.

Prizes to all the finalists were donated by Elliott Office Equipment, with book tokens to the winning team members and books to the winning school being sponsored by Yeadons of Elgin and Banchory. The prizes and shield were presented by Alistair Farquhar, Moray Council's Head of Educational Resources.

The Cullen team members were Michael Reid, Caleb Mair, Cameron Paterson and Jennifer Walker.

Well done to them all !
