Weather and Tides

The Banffshire Coast enjoys its own special micro-climate. The influence of the warming North Atlantic Drift on the coastal waters, plus the shelter that the Grampian Mountains provide from the prevailing south westerly winds, have a mellowing effect on the local climate - resulting in it being milder and dryer - and one of the driest locations in the UK.

Tide Tables are available here (reference Buckie and add 30 minutes).

This project was part-financed by the scottish goverment and the european community moray leader 2007-2017 programme.
